Welcome to Smith & Agli's Potbelly Manor!
Smith
& Agli's Potbelly Manor is a unique animal rescue serving 68 animals of over 10 species
near the historic village of Wickford on Narragansett Bay.
Audrey Agli and Liz Smith
founded Smith & Agli's Potbelly Manor in 1995, inspired by the rescue of Skipper, an abused pig from the
streets of Providence who was about to be killed.
Ariel, the current queen piggy of the house (pictured above)
visits local schools to teach children about being kind to animals.
Our primary mission of aiding wayward potbelly pigs has evolved to include
many other species, including Bette Davis the cow, Saint Bernard dogs, goats, turkeys, rabbits, a duck and a colony of
feral cats.
In addition to fostering and rehoming animals that pass through our doors we also rehabilitate
potbelly pigs and share our expertise with the community. Please enjoy a leisurely visit through our website to learn
more about our mission and animals that may currently be available for adoption.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Pet Expo on March
6 & 7th a success! We really did get the cow car into the convention center!! And they said we couldn't
do it.....

Our latest rescues-Paige & Pearl!
Paige & Pearl were rescued from a situation of neglect; both were pregnant
when they arrived. Under normal circumstances piglets should never be born in the winter so we had our hands full.

**** UPDATE ****
On Sunday, February 21, 2010 Pearl gave birth to a litter of piglets.
When we rescued Paige & Pearl we knew Paige was pregnant but did not know that Pearl was.
Donations are down due to the economy and we are not prepared with the extra funding it will take to properly care for 5
additional piglets, including spay/neuter surgery.
Audrey is also working additional hours in the military
which may necessitate the hiring of a part time farm hand.
Please consider making a donation. Thank you!
