Our new puppy Rose has been with us for about 3 weeks now.  Rose came to us via Critter Calvary all the way from Tennessee.  We couldn't have been more pleased with the adoption process-very smooth and professional.  Rose greets visitors with great gusto, and speaking of gusto she's beginning to put on some weight as the result of Liz's fabulous cooking.

Pandora kitty who usually stays quietly in the bedroom has been mercilessly taunting poor Rose.  Pandora makes an appearance in the living room, lets out a small meow and runs behind the couch, leaving poor Rose in a state of hysteria.  All the kitties seem to be reveling in teasing Rose as if they took lessons from Garfield.

Welcome to our blog!
Hi everyone!
Welcome to our official blog!  We will post our random thoughts, funny farm stories and adventures here.

First official blog entry:
HOT!!  IT'S HOT!  We are in the middle of a heat wave.  Not sure how many days it's been but we're all wilting with the exception of the piglets, who never seem to stop.  Petunia out in the front barn with Benjamin, Amelia and JD pops up like a little jack-in-a-box at the sight of a human, comes running over squealing and jumps up on the fence with her mouth open in the "feed me now" position.  Hope and Harley out back are permanently encased in mud from their frequent wallowing escapades.  Yesterday grandmother Paige was laying in the mud and Hope was circling around her saying "Grandma, where's the puddle that used to be here?  You're taking up the whole thing!"  Well now, we must give Paige credit, having lost ~ 100 lbs since coming to the farm.  Why is it that the piglets would rather wallow in the mud than in their spotless wading pool?  Hmmmmm, question for the pig psychologist.
